What day would be a good day to distribute door hangers?

I am marketing a new tutoring program in my neighborhood, I have door hangers printed and ready to go. Is there a certain day I should distribute or any day? I'm thinking Friday but its the day before the weekend, would anyone bother contacting us for enrollment information over the weekend? I might be over thinking but I want my basis covered. Thanks for your advise!

2. Tuesday or Wednesday is best as it is past the first day of the week, which is usually busy for people, but gives them enough time to consider the advert before the weekend.
3. Interesting question. I'm familiar with door hangers for different industries/professions, but I've never come across a distinction by day. Just a couple of random thoughts: First, obviously, try both Friday and another day, such as Monday, see which pulls better. Second, my first reaction is to think that Friday might not pull as well. As you note, it's the day before the weekend. Unless your door hanger prominently says something like: "Call 24/7. Operators always available," people may hold off until Monday. And in the interim, they'll misplace your hanger, they'll forget about it, etc. You want immediate action, and Friday distribution might discourage that. Third, I'd time the distribution to match the day that grades (semester, quarterly, or interims) come out. Check with your local schools and find out what days those are. Then distribute your door hangers so that the parents have the hangers in hand the same day their kids come home with grades that your tutoring could address. Hope that helps.
